Guru Play Wants to Ask the X Factor’s Katie Waissel ‘Why?’

The folks over at Guru Play have been scratching their heads recently wondering what has happened to make X-factor singer Katie Waissel so cocky. Did she get that big chip on her shoulder by crushing the roulette table at Guru Play? Or is she the only person who has heard about Guru Play’s Fantastic Fridays? Could that be it? Waissel is really making a name for herself and that’s not necessarily a compliment by any stretch of the imagination.

X Factor Cheryl Cole has warned Waissel to shape up or plan to be shipped out. Cole also has said that the public needs to warm up to Waissel and that she had better start to show the audience a softer side. Katie has done a very good job of alienating fans after a string of high profile onscreen meltdowns. She came in at the bottom three last week after she unleashed her anger at the stylists of the show.

Katie Waissel has been giving viewers of the X Factor very bad vibes right from the start of the show. Many of the entertainers refused to speak or even look at the 24 year old because they suspect that she was being given special treatment. During the rehearsals last week Waissel was wearing a very expensive outfit which her rivals say must have cost much more than theirs.

X Factor fans have been crying “foul” since day one because there are widespread allegations that Waissel was kept on the show because Simon Cowell had paid a lot of money to buy her out of a record deal in the United States. Waissel is becoming very hard to watch for many viewers as her diva demands are just too much. X FACTOR: BOOT CAMP or BOOZE CAMP

As the X Factor auditions ended, the nation eagerly awaits the boot camp stages starting this Saturday. The tabloids have this week been on over drive with stories of Chloe Heald AKA Chloe Mafia. After making it through the audition stages and cementing her place at boot camp she has used the experience to have all night drinking sessions. After turning up to boot camp a day late, she then went out drinking with a pal until 8am the following day. When X Factor researchers finally got hold of her she was dragged to boot camp wearing day old clothes and make up. She has also admitted that the hotel was wrecked on the last night of boot camp. ‘The lifts were smashed and doors were hanging off’, she stated ‘but it wasn’t me’. After being told her journey on X Factor had ended, she even said she may return to audition next year.
Love is in the air for two other X Factor hopefuls, Cher Lloyd and Aiden Grimshaw, much to the dismay of X Factor bosses. Cher is dubbed one of the front runners in the competition after her rendition of ‘Turn my swag on’ by Keri Hilson wowed the audience and the judges. Another contestant tipped for the top is Marlon McKenzie. This was his third audition on the show, he made it through to boot camp in 2005 and 2008 but failed to make it to the live shows. Marlon admitted to hitting the gym regularly since May after splitting with his long term girlfriend, Cleo Higgins from 90’s band Cleopatra. He is aware the other boys at boot camp are looking good and he knows he needs to be dedicated to compete with them if he is to find himself a new girlfriend.

Is the Music Group Roxette Making a Come Back?

Last weekend in perfect weather in Sundsvall, Sweden, Per and Maria of Roxette took the stage at the local soccer arena in front of a packed house for the long-awaited real reunion of Roxette. Roxette played a total of twenty songs for the 16,000 thousand cheering fans. The Baseballs – the German rockabilly act opened for the duo.

Marie Fredriksson, who has won her battle with brain cancer, did a great job all night long. She was just beaming on stage, looking sometimes stunned and other times exuberant and smiling. Everyone was wondering how Marie was going to handle the performance, which was the band’s first in years. It was very clear that she was thrilled to be back on stage and when the final song was song, “Church of Your Heart” the crowd could not stop cheering and Marie was in tears.

In the fall of 2002, Fredriksson fell to the floor in her kitchen after jogging. Doctors later discovered that she had a brain tumor. After three years of exhaustive and aggressive treatment, Marie is very relieved and proud to say that she is now cancer free and in no need of further treatment, although the tumor resulted in her losing the vision in one eye. But she can live with that and does admit that she bumps into things all the time.

This time around Roxette is of course, Per Gessle and Marie with drummer Pelle Alsing, Magnus Borjeson on bass, Clarence Ofwerman on keyboard, Christoffer Lundquist on guitar and Malin Ekstrand singing backup.

The night did not go along seamlessly however as Marie forgot the lyrics once and someone played in the wrong key on “Sleeping in My Car” but all in all, it was a great night and a performance that will long be remembered. Roxette is playing other concerts in Russia, Denmark and Norway this fall with more dates to follow. So it appears that Roxette is indeed back and as great as ever!

Jennifer Lopez Not to Become Newest American Idol Judge

It seems that Jenny from the Block will not be the next American Idol judge after all. The singer and actress did land a permanent spot at the judge’s table for the upcoming tenth season of the show but Fox has now withdrawn its offer due to her demands which reportedly were not something the network was willing to agree to.

Comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is stepping down from her position as judge on American Idol after just one season. DeGeneres replaced the beloved Paula Abdul last year when she decided to call it quits for reasons unknown. Ellen DeGeneres says that the reason she is throwing in the towel is because the show is not a ‘good fit’ for her as she finds it difficult to hand out harsh criticism to the contestants. Jennifer Lopez was the frontrunner for the spot along with Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler.

The judge’s table is a rather lonely place now as it is being reported that Kara Dioguardi was booted off after just two seasons as judge, although this has not be confirmed by Fox. The ‘love him or hate him’ Simon Cowell is also moving on to other things after his long gig on Idol. There is no word if Randy Jackson will stay or go and the only thing for sure right now is the return of Nigel Lythgoe.

Fox execs say that the full judge’s panel will be chosen by the middle of September, just in time for auditions for the 10th season that begins in January 2011. One thing is for sure though: The American Idol judge’s table will have an entirely new look next year – we just don’t know with whom just yet. The rumors are sure to be flying around for the next month concerning who will be seated in those stage-front seats and the tabloids are sure to be busy speculating as well.

Justin BieberIt seems that you can barley go online these days without a mention of this talented 16 year old. The Canadian is all over social networking sites since Bieber Fever started to hit the music world. He first made his mark by recording home videos of him singing and uploading them to You Tube. This caught the attention of music lovers everywhere and it was not long until he was snapped up by a record company.
Since then he has had phenomenal success with his albums and singles selling well through out the world. He has millions of fans on Twitter and Facebook and still gets millions of views on You Tube. He has recorded songs with a number of different artists and is always posting new videos to You Tube and his website.
Since his success poor Justin has also been the subject of a number of funny videos and campaigns, including footage of him walking into a door spreading through out the internet world like wild fire. For a a16 year old this boy has achieved and seen so much and it really looks as if his song career is no where near done yet, so despite being at its peak, it seems his career is destined to go onwards and upwards.
