Buy an iPhone 4 Before Sept. 30, 2010 and Get Free Bumper Case

Shortly after the release of the newest version of the iPhone earlier this summer, users were complaining to Apple and on tech blogs across the internet that their new phone was dropping calls. It was learned that when an area at the bottom left corner of the case was covered and pressed firmly that the reception was being lost. This area of the phone is where the antenna is located. What is now being called ‘Antennagate’ across the web was blown out of proportion (surprise) and does not seem to affect most phones. Apple CEO Steve Jobs stated at a press release that very few users were experiencing the problem, but conceded that Apple will ‘fix’ the problem by giving everyone who had bought the iPhone 4 a new bumper case that is worth around $30.

The design problem still exists and Jobs admits that, and it will be fixed on future models manufactured. In order to get the free bumper case you have to go into the App Store and find the iPhone 4 Case Program application and install it. Only owners of the iPhone 4 are eligible to get the new case and the application will check the both the serial number and IMEI of the phone to verify that you have the newest iPhone. Once it has been confirmed that you indeed own the new phone you can choose an iPhone 4 bumper case or another pre-approved case.

Anyone who purchases an iPhone 4 before September 30th qualifies for the new program. If you had purchased your phone before July 23rd, 2010 you have until August 22nd to apply. It is one case per customer and the cases are available in your choice of five different models. If you happened to purchase your iPhone 4 from AT&T in the U.S. you can return it to the store for a full refund if you wish.

Play Ben 10 Online Today

These days it is more important than ever to introduce children to the internet. We are now a nation of people that can’t get by without being able to use a computer. The earlier you introduce your children to the internet the more comfortable they will fill with all aspects of computers which of course is better for them in the long run.

Young children are also developing an interest in computers at a much earlier age. This is largely because of the influence of children’s television where even your favourite cartoon characters have access to the latest gadgets and gizmos.

Whilst as parents most of us recognise that our children using computers can only be a positive thing, we also see the scare tactics on the news. We know of the dangers that children using the internet can cause and this can be enough to put us off even letting our children try.

However this will not develop your childs computer skills, which are so vital.

So how do you reach a healthy compromise?

This is easy. Computer games are a great way to do this. Find a computer game based around your childs favourite computer game. Straight away they’ll want to play it because of the fact that their cartoon is involved. These games are of course written for children and so are easy to play. Now, no one is saying you should let your child play for hours a day however the odd session here and there will do a great deal of good. Your child will be learning their computer skills without even realising it. In fact you can even sit down and play together, which is great family bonding. So why not search for an online game based around something such as Ben 10 and get going.

Is There Games For Me Too?

Yes! There are loads of games online for both adults and children. For example if you want a simple, one person card game to play online then why not have a few rounds of solitaire?

Online games are a great way to pass the time for both adults and children. There are literally hundreds of games that you can play online so there is something to suit everyone. The great thing about these is that they are online all the time so no matter time or day you want to play, you will be able to.

Google Yanks the Plug on Google Wave

Search engine giant Google is literally waving good-bye to its Wave. The company announced recently that is is stopping the work on Google Wave, which is a real-time collaboration tool aimed at combining several forms of online communication.

Wave made its debut in June of 2009 with a lot of fanfare but many people wondered what the tool was to be used for exactly. Even Wave’s own developers seems unsure as Wave’s software engineering manager was quoted as telling CNET at launch time “We are still learning how to use it”.

The main objective of Wave was to allow users to collaborate on projects in real-time, by using an interface that resembled an in-box along with Google Docs and Spreadsheets. Each so-called strand of messages could include links, photos and texts and was called a wave. Google allowed 6,000 developers to use Wave shortly after the tool was unveiled and then let another 100,000 consumers try out the product. Google really got the masses excited about the launch of Wave and sites like Twitter were all abuzz with people asking fellow Twitterers if they had an invitation to offer as it was required that one must have an invite from Google in order to access the new tool.

Google promised us that Wave would revolutionize communication and that it would replace e-mail the same way the computer replaced the typewriter. But, users were less than impressed and most were left scratching their heads, wondering just what all the hype was about.

There actually was a lot of potential in the concept. Businesses could have benefited from using a tool that integrated email, instant messaging, blogging and collaboration and the fact that users could access Wave from anywhere, really made it look promising. Maybe if Google would have toned down the arrogant hype and let everyone try the product in the beginning, things might have turned out differently.
