Been Scammed? Get Out of Your Timeshare Now

Buying into a timeshare offers a great vacation experience although timeshares can be a bit costly. Today’s weakened economy has many new timeshare owners re-thinking their decision as some people are considering less expensive ways to spend their vacation time. Others may simply decide that the money being spent on the timeshare could be put to better uses. So  how does a person go about getting out of a new or recent timeshare?

Companies that are in the business of selling timeshares are quite clever at convincing interested parties to buy into their properties. Many people jump at the chance to buy a timeshare due to the many benefits it offers. However, when a new timeshare owner has decided that he wishes to cancel, the less than scrupulous timeshare companies will do whatever it takes to dodge the buyer in order to avoid having to complete the cancellation or buy-back.

This hesitation to cancel or buy back timeshares often leads to the need to hire an attorney.  Even when legal action is taken the timeshare company will often go out of its way to stop the person from being able to cancel timeshare. Thankfully the majority of timeshare companies are reputable but there are many out there today that will go to great lengths to avoid dealing with the people who have bought into the timeshares they sold.

If you have a timeshare that you wish to cancel, the first course of action you should take is  to review the contract. You must find the cancellation form or the instructions that tell you how to cancel. You can most often find this information on the back or at the bottom of the contract. In the case that you cannot find the instructions you need to take matters further.

At this point it is important to compose a letter to the timeshare company informing them of your wishes. Include in the letter your full name as stated in the contract, the date of purchase and signing of the contract and a short statement describing the fact that you are canceling the contract in accordance with your state’s laws. You also must make it clear that you wish to be refunded for any down payment you may have made. Send the letter via certified or registered mail to the address that is listed on the contract. The timeshare company is bound by law to cancel your contract and refund your down payment.

While the above procedure is what needs to be done in a typical timeshare cancellation, things do not always go along as planned. If you have not received a response back from the timeshare company then it is very likely that you have been scammed. When things get this bad you need to know where to turn for help.

Thankfully there are a few very reputable websites online that can assist you. These sites help people get out of timeshares by offering them free information and guidance. Many consumers who felt they were pressured into buying timeshares make use of these websites as they are full of very helpful information. The people running these sites know the timeshare industry inside and out so do not hesitate to use this type of valuable resource.

Airlines Are Cutting Costs With Automated C Unit Testing

Both airports and airlines are facing rising costs and revenue growth constraints. There is now an increased push within the airline industry toward cutting overhead costs by taking advantage of automated c unit testing.

The safety of passengers flying on aircraft depends upon the flight software operating optimally. This is why the Federal Aviation Association set the do 178 b standard for the development of flight software. Earning the do 178b certification is both costly and time consuming. In order to become certified organizations must show that their code implements all of its requirements in the correct manner, in other words it cannot include any extra code that makes it impossible to determine the impact on the software. The code also must be able to be tested thoroughly as well.

Many of the world’s top companies use VectorCAST as a standard for software quality and testing for safety and critical applications on both commercial and defense aerospace applications. VectorCAST provides companies with the ability to increase the reliability and quality of their flight software. VectorCAST also offers c unit testing. Unit testing is the process of testing portions of a software application prior to full system testing. Unit testing as well as integration testing plays a vital part in building a smooth running application that is error-free and robust. This is because this testing allows the person conducting the test to easily stimulate the low level functioning of the application and prove that the low level requirements are implemented in the correct manner.

VectorCAST/C++ is a software test solution that greatly cuts the time, effort and costs associated with testing C/C++ software components that are needed for validating safety and mission critical embedded systems. To learn more about the innovative solutions offered by VectorCAST visit its website and read through the many available white papers. You can read in depth how VectorCAST solutions are used to automate testing across the software development life cycle.

If you wish to evaluate VectorCAST for yourself you can sign up for a free, no obligation thirty day trial which gives you fully functional versions of all the VectorCAST product so you can experience its software in your own environment. You also can gain access to the company’s library of online demonstrations, recorded webinars, white papers and product manuals.

A great many of the world’s leading airlines are turning to automated c unit testing as a way to save money. If you would like to take advantage of any of VectorCASTs products visit the website and sign up for a free trial. You may also wish to use the provided online form if you have questions about any of VectorCASTs products or if you wish to learn how this company can make your software development process more efficient. Eliminating manual testing can save your development engineer a tremendous amount of time. Most importantly it can save your company an incredible amount of money and that is important in today’s rather turbulent economy.

Consider Taking An Escorted Tour for Your Next Holiday

Perhaps your holiday is over for this year and you spent you time making travel arrangements, booking hotels and finding the best entertainment in the location you traveled to. It seems that at least half of our holidays are spent making these rather tedious arrangements which drastically cuts down on our time we have to rest and enjoy the sights.

The next time you have a holiday scheduled you may wish to consider taking an escorted tour. This type of holiday is one in which you will travel to your destination with a small group of others interested in the same location. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable tour guide who will make all of the arrangements for you. This includes air, train and bus travel reservations, hotel bookings and even restaurant reservations. You will be shown the highlights and have the chance to rub elbows with the locals and will even be taught how to speak a few lines in the native language.

Escorted tours are not only the ideal way to truly enjoy your time away without being hassled with all of the small details but they save you money as well. The tour guide companies go to great lengths prior to the trip to make sure that the best deals are found on restaurants, airfare, bus and train travel. They will also see to it that you dine in establishments that offer a good value.

Escorted tours can even be customized if you and a group of friends have special requests. For example if you and your friends wish to travel to China to see the sights in Beijing, this type of trip can be arranged which will have you spending a set amount of days in that magnificent and historic city so you can stroll the streets, visit the most well known locations and eat in restaurants far off the beaten trail so that you get a real appreciation for the culture.

Strike Could Affect Six British Airports

Employees of airport operator BAA voted to go on strike Thursday in a dispute over pay. This development could result in six British airports being shut down, including Heathrow in London. The union members overwhelmingly voted to strike with 2,263 saying yes and just 791 opposing the strike.

The union will reconvene early next week to decide when to start the strike. It must give BAA at least a seven day notice. There is an apology statement on BAA’s website saying that the strike is causing a whole lot of uncertainty. The company also went on to explain that there are no flights from UK airports being effected at this time. It added that more than half of the union members eligible to vote did not do so which leads it to believe that the voting results do not provide a clear mandate for the strike.

BAA has offered a conditional 1.5% pay increase which it thinks is fair during the current economy that is riddled with problems. BAA is also ready and willing to sit down with union officials to hammer out a solution to the problem.

The last Monday in August is a bank holiday in England, Northern Ireland and Wales which results in around one million Brits going on long weekend holidays at this time. If the BAA employees at Glasgow, Heathrow, Edinburg and Aberdeen make good on their threat to strike the airports would be forced to close as there would be a lack of security and emergency workers. This would cause a lot of people to have to change their in-air travel plans unless they fly out of one of the non-affected airports such as London-City or London-Gatwick.

Workers at British Airways tried to organize a strike last year at the same time but a judge put a quick stop to it because the strike was to occur when many people were planning to fly.

Jet Blue Flight Attendant Curses Out Passenger and Bails on Emergency Slide

What appears from first glance to be a segment straight out of a Hollywood movie, a Jet Blue flight attendant went ballistic on the job this week and caused a commotion never before seen in the world of airline travel.

Imagine this scenario: Your Jet Blue flight just touched down at your destination when one of the flight attendants grabs the public address microphone on board, drops the F-bomb, releases the emergency door and exits the plane with beer in hand via the emergency slide. This is indeed exactly what happened on the Jet Blue flight from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New York City when a flight attendant found himself involved in a verbal altercation with one of the passengers on the plane.

A passenger refused to remain seated when told to do so by the attendant. The passenger was determined to ignore the attendant’s directions and proceeded to get his bags out of the overhead compartment. The flight attendant then approached the man and arrived just as the luggage was being pulled out, which struck the attendant in the head. And that was the breaking point.

The attendant asked that the passenger apology to him but he refused and instead proceeded to swear at the flight attendant. This is when the flight attendant went back to the front of the plane and grabbed the mic and yelled ‘To the passenger who called me a #8&*, *#&^ you! I have been in this business for twenty-eight years and now I have had it. That’s it!’.  He then grabbed beer from a nearby serving cart, released the emergency exit and slid down to the tarmac. He marched into the airport, removed his necktie and jumped on a monorail that took him to his car in the parking lot. He was later arrested by police at his home and charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. Jet Blue is said to be helping the Federal Aviation Administration with their investigation and is taking the case very seriously.

How to Plan a Holiday on a Budget

A family holiday can be very costly these days. The price of fuel is high and air travel is not affordable for many of us. So, if you really need and want to take a holiday, how can you do it when you are living on a budget? Consider following these travel planning tips so that you will be able to take that much-needed holiday without putting yourself into debt.

Try to find a place within driving distance of your home that offers plenty of outdoor activities. If you can locate an area with a forest and a lake, that would be great as it would offer hiking, fishing, swimming and camping at a very low cost. There is really nothing quite like spending a few days outside enjoying the peace and quiet that nature offers. It is also one of the best ways to re-charge your battery and to get some much-needed sleep. Many campgrounds offer free use of the toilet facilities as well as a microwave, shower and outdoor grills, so you really are offered all of the basic necessities you need to be comfortable.

If you are not so fond of the great outdoors, then consider visiting friends and family who live in nearby cities. By staying with them, you will not have to pay for a hotel and large cities offer all kinds of activities such as street festivals and markets, sporting events, factory tours, zoos and great parks.

Another idea is to plan a day trip to a neighboring community. Try to choose a city or town that you have never been to. Sometimes just driving forty-five minutes away, taking a walk down the streets and eating out can make you feel like you have been gone all weekend. Take the time to really explore the town and ask the locals where you can get a good meal at a fair price.
