Jamie Oliver is no stranger to revealing strange and wonderful recipes, in fact he has really worked hard to change the way the nation eats. His school eating campaign worked towards changing childrens eating habits and the meals that they are offered during the time at school. He has changed eating habits for the good, encouraging the younger generation to eat healthier.
He also worked at encouraging people to eat a proper family meal. He released a number of ways to eat properly without breaking the bank. Many people feel that eating well is all down to how much money you have to spend and they simply do not have the money to spend on healthy meals. He released a number of recipes that were easy to make as well as being meals that didn’t cost too much money to put together.
Now he has launched a new campaign with the main of letting everyone enjoy dessert at the end of their meal. There are some fantastic recipes which are being forgotten and left behind and Jamie Oliver wants to change this.
He has released a brand new eton mess recipe which gives people the perfect opportunity to create a fantastic dessert for the whole family without breaking the bank. Eton mess is a delicious dessert and so easy to put together that there is no reason why you shouldn’t give it a try.
So this brilliant eton mess recipe that Mr Oliver has released, what does it entail?
What You Need:
115 g wild strawberries
5 g whole strawberries
225 g raspberries
5 scones
2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
225 ml double cream
400 g Clotted Cornish cream
4 tablespoons Vin Santo dessert wine
9 oz double cream
1) In a bowl you will need to mix together the sugar, the wine, the clotted cream and the double cream. Mix this long enough to be smooth, it should only take a few minutes. In a different bowl put together the strawberries and the raspberries and on a play break up the scones into smaller pieces.
2) Now take your serving glasses (wider the better) and layer the bottom of these with the cream mixture. Now layer the scones and the berries. Keep layering this until you reach the top of the glass.
